Rumors About New iPhone, New Apple Plans Leaked: iPhone Should Change Massively In The Future

For upcoming iPhone generations, Apple is apparently working on completely new concepts for display and operation. At least in the coming years, but you will probably see little.

Apple works according to a "Bloomberg" report on extensive innovations for future iPhone generations. Two concrete projects are therefore to ensure that the iPhone will stand out clearly in the future of competitor smartphones: on the one hand, Apple is working on a new operating concept, on the other hand, the iPhone could get a curved display.

The gesture control allows the report to operate the iPhone without touching the screen. Instead, the user's finger should be recognized, even if it only hovers over the display. But this new feature is expected in two years at the earliest - if Apple ever decided to develop it further.

The second project focuses on the development of curved displays. The displays of the iPhone should be bent in between the top and bottom inwards. LG introduced a similar concept in 2014 with the LG G Flex. Basically, this is made possible by the OLED technology, which is now the standard in top smartphones. Samsung also relies on OLED displays for the curved displays of the Galaxy S series.

Curved displays ready for the market in two to three years. According to the anonymous source, iPhones with such curved displays are not ready for market until two to three years at the earliest. At the same time, Apple is also working on the development of

MicroLED displays - until they are ready, but could take even more time. Both described innovations should be projects at an early stage of development. It is by no means certain that the functions will ever be found in iPhones - Apple could also decide against further development.

Does Apple also work on a foldable display?

The "Bloomberg" report is in a similar direction to a CNBC announcement last week. An analyst from Bank of America had announced that Apple would develop an iPhone with a foldable display within the next two years. According to the report, the group from Cupertino wants to produce an iPhone with a "radically different design" in the future and is already working together with Asian partner companies.
